FMA is Once Again In Play

From 365Gay.com:
"(Washington) The US Senate will begin hearings Wednesday on a new attempt to pass a Federal Marriage Amendment to bar same-sex couples from tying the knot." The amendment was introduced in the Senate in January by Colorado Republican Sen. Wayne Allard. It would deny marriage to same-sex couples and deny the ability to provide any protections to same-sex couples, such as domestic partnerships and civil unions.
Republicans have once again brought back the Federal Marriage Amendment. Note the language denying any protections, even domestic partnerships and civil unions. This isn't about protecting marriage. It is about keeping marriage and all it's associated perks the property of once specific class of Americans -- heterosexuals.
